Bacon Vies for Inaugural Corn Belt Nationals Victory Honors this Weekend!
Lonnie Wheatley, WINCHESTER, Ind. (July 3, 2019) – Brady Bacon and the Hoffman Racing / Mean Green No. 69 Sprint Car team have their sights set on the $20,000 winner’s share at this weekend’s USAC sanctioned “Corn Belt Nationals” Iowa’s Knoxville Raceway.
This weekend’s event that takes place on Friday and Saturday follows on the heels of another rainout at Haubstadt, Indiana’s Tri-State Speedway on Sunday.
This weekend’s Corn Belt Nationals is among the biggest events on the USAC slate for 2019.
“This is an event that become one of the premier events for both USAC and Knoxville Raceway,” Bacon commented. “I’m excited to see what kind of support this event gets this weekend.”
The two-time USAC Sprint Car champion has enjoyed past USAC success at Knoxville Raceway, sweeping his way through a 2011 card by topping qualifying, winning his heat race and then making his way to victory lane in the feature event.
“The Macho Man” enters the weekend sixth in USAC National Sprint Car points with a pair of series wins to his credit including triumphs at Indiana’s Bloomington Speedway on April 12 and Pennsylvania’s Grandview Speedway on June 11.
