Bacon Wingin’ It and Non-Wingin’ It this Weekend
Lonnie Wheatley, WINCHESTER, Ind. (June 28, 2018) – Following a weekend washout, Brady Bacon returns to action with a pair of events this weekend in the Hoosier State.
And, in typical Bacon fashion, both nights will feature different cars. On Friday night, Bacon puts the wing atop the Brady Bacon Racing No. 99 for All Star Circuit of Champions competition at Indiana’s Plymouth Speedway.
Then, on Saturday night, Bacon joins forces the Hoffman Racing No. 69ot for some non-wing Sprint Car competition atop the Lawrenceburg Speedway clay oval.
While Bacon already has 47 events logged into the 2018 books despite last weekend’s rainouts at Limaland and Waynesfield, only eight of those have come aboard the winged 410-ci Sprint Car. Bacon has continued to gain speed with each outing in the winged car with a runner-up finish at Ohio’s Fremont Speedway on May 26 the high water mark in the 410-ci ranks thus far.
Bacon has also been stout aboard the Hoffman Racing No. 69ot with finishes of third and then second during a pair of outings during the Sprint Car portion of USAC’s Indiana Midget Week that ushered in the month of June.
Overall, on the cusp of the midpoint of the 2018 season, Bacon already has four feature wins to his credit among 20 top-fives and 29 overall top-tens.
